How much of this is needed here? We definitely need to say the battle took place near it, but a lot of it seems to be duplicated. If the battle took place in a star system the information could stay, as the events would have taken place within it. Correct me if I'm wrong. -- Tough Little Ship 13:37, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

Info about the battle should be located at Battle of Wolf 359, and be removed here.
This article should contain a reference to that article, a small summary of the events, perhaps the most basic astronomical facts about that star, and links to external resources about Wolf 359.
I don't fully understand your comment regarding a "star system". What do you mean? -- Cid Highwind 14:01, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

My mistake. Won't happen again. --Kevin W. Tlk 05:57, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

No worries. I've reworded the paragraph so things should be more clear now. Is it better? :) --From Andoria with Love 06:24, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

The name, Wolf 359, may be a reference to a 1964 episode of The Outer Limits. It is entitled Wolf 359, involving a scientist who created a miniature world from a piece of matter from that planet in order to observe its evolution in accelerated time.

Wolf 359 is a real star close to the Solar system, so TNG didn't "name" it.

If it was chosen as a homage to The Outer Limits, then this can be returned rewording and a citation.--Cleanse ( talk ) 23:13, October 13, 2017 (UTC)
