Does anyone actually know why they called this a 'warp' flare? What does warp have to do with this? --Kleaver 20:24, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm guessing because the writers thought it sounded cool? -- Renegade54 20:52, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Yeah exactly. Everytime I hear it on the episode I really have the feeling they were out of good names. Just call it Photon Flare or something that would have made sense. I mean they're not at warp, the torpedo is not at warp. Making a polyluminous burst isn't warp. Unless, ofcourse, making it have that effect means the torpedo is in a state of faster than light. But that would not make it go that slow would it. Your thoughts? --Kleaver 23:18, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
