Canon problem Edit

Here's an interesting canon problem: we have canon info on the page (entire second paragraph), and official resources have admitted the canon info to be false. Do we delete the second paragraph? -- Redge 19:46, 26 Jun 2004 (CEST)

Leave it. It's still on-screen info, and thus canon. Note that Braga said it was a mistake not that it wasn't canon. -- Dan Carlson 20:06, 26 Jun 2004 (CEST)

Other Warbirds Edit

As of 31 January, this page states that warbirds are ships in the Romulan Star Empire. I think this is a mistake that I attempted to correct before, but don't want to see made again. First of all, there are the Klingon warbirds mentioned in "Broken Bow" (yes, producers admit it was a mistake, but still). The article attempts to circumvent this by claiming that the warbird for Romulan ship is only used in the 24th century. Well, I'm not sure if that's true either. In "Tin Man", "The Defector", "The Pegasus", "Future Imperfect", "Unification I", "The Enemy", "Data's Day", "The Die is Cast", "The Mind's Eye", and "Shadows and Symbols", the term "Romulan warbird(s)" is directly stated onscreen. This use of the adjective "Romulan" to describe a solely Romulan warship seems odd to me. There is, of course, a Reman warship (the Scimitar) seen and mentioned as a "Reman warship" in Star Trek Nemesis, although I will grant that it is definitely of Romulan design (or maybe all Romulan ships are Reman design). -- Tim Thomason 05:52, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Why does the Scimitar have to be of Romulan design, with the alternative being that Romulan ships are all of Reman design? If I remember correctly, the Scimitar was built in secret by the slaves on Remus. This would make it a Reman design, having nothing to do with the Romulans, or any of their ships. -- OuroborosCobra talk 05:58, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm not saying that the Scimitar was designed by Romulans (obviously not), or that all Romulans ships were designed by Remans (Remans seem to be more apt for menial tasks rather than big construction projects, at least to the Romulan people). By "Romulan design" I meant that the Scimitar obviously (to me at least) incorporates many components of previous Romulan starships (the D'deridex design, and the, uhh... Romulan Bird-of-Prey). This is likely because the Remans used (probably scrapped) Romulan parts to make their ship(s), or at least lacked the knowledge or help to build any ships without some sort of Romulan influence. -- Tim Thomason 06:16, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

There is even another Warbird, the Warbird (22nd century). We only know about it, because two of them were modified, but it exists anyway. -- Bravomike 16:06, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
