A virus isn't alive, it's a strand of protein, this article says as much, thus it can't be considered a parasite. Isn't the moniker viral particle more appropriate that describing them as parasites?--Commodore Spock 21:26, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Alive Edit

I think there is conflicting information within Star Trek about viruses being alive. I thought Paul Stubbs said that the Leutscher virus was a "bona fide lifeform". I also seem to remember other episodes saying they're not alive (Quality of Life, maybe?) so I wonder how the article could reflect that.--31dot 12:40, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
