Artificial Particles?Edit

Verterons can interfere with sensor scans and only exist when artificially created. Curious of where this information came from, which source specifically stated it is artificial. We know they are present in wormholes... does this mean they are artificial as well? -- Cygnis 21:39, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

Well the Bajoran wormhole is artificial, it was created by the Prophets The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).

This article talks about them as a natural phenomenon, but Data specifically says in "The Pegasus" that they are "artificial in nature."-- 06:15, January 9, 2016 (UTC)

Memory BetaEdit

In the Star Trek/X-men crossover novel Planet X, it was revealed that verteron particles are present in subspace. The novel also revealed that Nightcrawler, an X-man with the power of teleportation, reappears in normal space covered in verteron particles, suggesting that the dimension he travels through when he teleports is related to subspace.

whatever that means, it belongs on Memory Beta, not Memory Alpha Kassorlae (talk) 16:17, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

We put apocrypha in our articles here. I've reverted the edit, but also added a link over to Memory Beta. -- sulfur (talk) 16:21, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

thanks for linking. I just don't believe a Marvel world XMan thing belongs on MA. What's the consensus? Reading The TenForward pages now about that... Kassorlae (talk) 16:40, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

The consensus has always been, if it's published in a novel, comic, game (etc), then it's apocryphal. Which means... it belongs as a mention. -- sulfur (talk) 16:44, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

In that case, I may just spend more time on MB adding links - the non-canon stuff drives me NUTS! I just finished a DS9 then VOY marathon... making my way thorough (yuk, ENT {season 1 wasn't bad, I think season 2 and 3 they lost me, season 4 was redeemed by IAMD}) - and I like to read along!
