Is there anymore that could be added to this page? I don't recall any references to Verism tape in any other episodes/movies. Should we remove the "stub" tag? -- TrekFan Talk 21:09, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm removing it, I can't recall much more about it. It doesn't prevent others from adding more info, anyway.--31dot 22:29, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
Is the spelling correct? Edit
What is the source for the spelling "verism tape"? The James Blish novelization has it as "Verisim tape," which makes far more sense in this context (short for "verisimilitude," informed by "simulation"). Given that the same scriptwriter used "atavachron" (from roots meaning "ancestral time") for a time machine, it stands to reason that she would have used a similar faux-Latin/Greek term like "Verisim" (from roots meaning "likeness of truth") for the recording technology. –CLBennett 22:29, March 10, 2011 (UTC)
