DVD Discrepency Edit
The Voyager series collection I have does not coincide with VOY Season 1 DVD. Your list shows only 5 DVD's, I have six. Your list shows 4 one hour episodes per disc (Except double length episodes like Caretaker which only has 3 episodes, but mine only has two.) Mine has three. Would you have any explanation as to what my issue is? Editor3000 16:07, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Possibly a re-release, possibly a reprinting, I have no idea. I don't own the Voyager DVDs at all. When you want to bring something like this up, it should likely be done at the relevant talk page instead of a random user's talk page. -- Sulfur 16:59, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Bootleg copy Edit
Maybe we should make a page about Bootlegged copies of Star Trek so nobody is suckered into buying it. GhostlyDeath 06:36, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
The bootlegged copies have no copy protection on the DVD, are probably regionless, made out of card board, CDs initially out of order, CDs in cheap plastic and cotton(?) sleeves, unregistered ISBN. GhostlyDeath 06:45, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
- Is there some sort of official warning from Paramount/CBS about this, or any sort of documented warning(news story, etc)? I don't think there should be a seperate page but if there is information about it I could envision mentioning it on the pages about the DVDs if there are specific, documented warnings about it.--31dot 11:34, June 24, 2010 (UTC)
I don't believe there's any official warning from Paramount or CBS that I know of. There is http://www.squid.org/uncategorized/524/my-new-star-trek-voyager-s1-7-dvd-set-is-a-faaake.html which is the same exact thing I have here. The ISBN numbers come up to nothing at all and the discs are pretty low quality. It has all the stuff the regular discs have but it has freezes, some jitters, and such. - I removed the image, since as a copy of a copyright work, it is a copyright violation. I don't think we need an image, or a seperate page for that matter, to point out the differences between the real and fake copies, since they don't really look any different, except for things that wouldn't be apparent at 180px. - Archduk3 02:53, July 8, 2010 (UTC)
