From Talk:United States Army Air Corps[]

Rename[]

An incorrect heading, the United States Army Air Corps was renamed United States Army Air Forces on 20 June 1941, until September 1947 when it ultimately became United States Air Force... -- Sennim (talk) 16:46, October 31, 2015 (UTC)

And how was it called/seen in the episode? Tom (talk) 23:01, November 2, 2015 (UTC)
The dialogue mentions neither. The script continuously speaks of the "Army Air Corps", calling the base an "Army/Air Corps base" and Denning an "Army Air Corps general". Kennelly (talk) 09:39, November 3, 2015 (UTC)

The script calls it "Corps", but the designation is not spoken aloud in the episode, the emblem however is seen, and is the correct one for the USAAF. The "Corps" emblem does not have the wings. -- Sennim (talk) 09:42, November 3, 2015 (UTC)

Sorry,no the script repeatedly says "Army Air Corps". Kennelly (talk) 09:43, November 3, 2015 (UTC)

My bad, I was abbreviating, but the "United States Army Air Forces" emblem was seen as shoulder patches on the MP, among others, and if I'm not mistaken visual references do trump script references, when not used in dialog. Apparently, someone in the wardrobe department was paying attention... -- Sennim (talk) 09:46, November 3, 2015 (UTC)
[Edit]: Worked in Kennelly's and my findings into the article as "backgroud information"; believe even stronger that a renaming is in order... -- Sennim (talk) 10:58, November 28, 2015 (UTC)

Renamed per this talk. Tom (talk) 15:45, January 1, 2016 (UTC)
