Removed "The Stars of Sargasso" Edit
I've removed the following info:
"The Stars of Sargasso" was written by Dorothy Fontana. A first draft script was written for this episode, dated 8 February 1967. However, "The Stars of Sargasso" also had a draft date of 14 May 1969 and was intended for the undeveloped TOS Season 4. (citation needed • edit) It was the second attempt to introduce Joanna McCoy.
The reason for me removing this entry is because this script, which seems to still be occasionally circulating, is actually a fake, as evidenced by David Gerrold here: --Defiant (talk) 17:03, July 4, 2016 (UTC)still,
- Maybe there should be a background note? I know it's a bit weird to mention a what's essentially a fan creation, but still, this page ought to be a help for people trying to make sense of scripts they see circulating. -- Capricorn (talk) 19:47, July 4, 2016 (UTC)
Good idea. A similar case is the fan fiction script Star Trek IV: The Trial of James T. Kirk. Should we create a page dedicated to that script, or put info about it somewhere else? --Defiant (talk) 19:55, July 4, 2016 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I'm completely unfamiliar with that story, and as a result I don't feel I have enough of a grip on that situation that my opinion might be worth something. -- Capricorn (talk) 01:24, July 15, 2016 (UTC)
"Aladdin's Asteroid"/"Destination: Infinity" Edit
In reality, "Destination: Infinity" was an early version of "Aladdin's Asteroid" (with working title). How should we deal with this; should we combine the two entries on this page or keep them as 2 separate entries? --Defiant (talk) 21:30, July 10, 2016 (UTC)
- In my personal opinion, if it was the same story with a single development process where the title was changed halfway, then it wouldn't make much sense for it to not be a single entry. We're not listing titles here, we're listing episodes. But if the story was developed under one name, abandoned, and then some time later someone in need of an idea decided to recycle the idea under a new title, then possibly a case can be made for there being two entries. Possibly. -- Capricorn (talk) 01:24, July 15, 2016 (UTC)
