Duplicated text Edit
the text placed here by the originator duplicated text found at http://www.starfleetarchive.com/ships/?ID=1340 . Removed fanon Edit
I removed the following fanon info, that was incorrectly in an apocrypha section:
- The Kongo featured prominently in the fan film production of Starship Exeter, Episode 2,"The Tressaurian Intersection" where the crew of the USS Exeter (NCC-1672) (here as NCC-1706 as per Joseph's Technical Manual) finds the saucer section of the Kongo (here NCC-1710, again as per Joseph's Manual) crashed on Corinth IV. Later on they find the stardrive section adrift in space which they are forced to destroy in order to prevent the ship falling into enemy hands.

POV musings Edit
It might be that I kick open an open door, so if I'm wrong in my assessment, by all means set me straight. Is the in-universe POV the correct one? When I was copy-editing, the notion struck me that the USS Kongo has never shown up in canon, not even on page four of the mission charts as conceded in the BG-section, as that was apparently not included in the DC DVD. Would a production POV, categorized under "Unused production material" not be the more applicable one?--Sennim (talk) 13:23, March 3, 2017 (UTC)
- The USS Kongo was mentioned in a graphic seen on the bridge of the Enterprise-A. Here is a thread from Flare with accompanying pictures which is relevant to this discussion. http://flare.solareclipse.net/ultimatebb.php/topic/6/2819.html--Memphis77 (talk) 21:59, March 3, 2017 (UTC)
