Prototype[]
The article Prototype has this ship listed as a "prototype", because it was apparently called that in the episode (a reference that I just brought into standard format of that page). A question remains, because this article doesn't mention the prototype status of the vessel - Was it a prototype?. If yes, this info should be added here, if not the ship removed from the list. -- Cid Highwind 13:59, 28 Dec 2005 (UTC)
- If one followes the directions laid out by Matt Jefferies the ship cannot be a prototype because of its registry: F1513 means it was the 14th vessel of her class. In other works the ship was classified as "Independence" (Federation Reference Series) or "Liberty" class (FASA), but I have never seen it being referred to "Huron" class. - I'm 99.9% positive that this vessel was never referred to as a prototype and that if I were to take an educated guess as to why it was listed on the prototype page, it is because someone mistook the Huron-type (class) as being the prototype of "the class" (as we designate it) as being named after this ship. Basically this would be like calling the USS Raven or USS Centaur a prototype. --Alan del Beccio 14:28, 28 Dec 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for your input. I'll remove it from the Prototype page, then. -- Cid Highwind 16:06, 28 Dec 2005 (UTC)
