Characters[]

(I seem to be starting a lot of discussion things lately...) Could the Encounter versions of Voyager's crew merit their own pages? We already have pages devoted to fictional characters and mirror versions of existing characters, many with less data on them than what we "learned" in The Voyager Encounter, and I think it would be a worthwhile addition to the wiki. I see no reason not. We have all the characters from "Photons Be Free" on seperate pages (eg. Tulak).– Cleanse talk 05:31, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Protection[]

I have temporarily protected this page from editing by anonymous users due to the repeated recharacterization of the incident as "propaganda", which has been reverted three times. If you wish to comment on the issue, please do so here.--31dot 19:54, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

I don't believe it should be characterized as "propaganda" because the inaccuracies are due to historical events being distorted over time, not due to a deliberate attempt to persuade people. Kyrians already shared such a biased view, so no one is being influenced any differently.--31dot 19:57, November 9, 2009 (UTC)

Removed[]

  • The misrepresentation of Mars as being the homeworld of humanity is in keeping with the more warlike nature of the simulation, as the Roman god Mars was the God of war.
  • B'Elanna's status as the Transporter Chief instead of the Chief Engineer may be a reference to the fact that Scotty, despite being the Chief Engineer, often operated the transporters as well.

The first statement is original research without a citation that was indeed the intention of the writers, and the second statement is speculation.--31dot 21:07, March 27, 2010 (UTC)
