"Should this be noted"? Edit

I changed the bginfo from

It should be noted that Tethys is the name of one of Saturn's moons named for the daughter of the Greek gods Uranus and Gaia

"Tethys" was the daughter of the Greek gods Uranus and Gaia who also is the eponym of one of Saturn's moons.

This note was only recently (Sept. 2010) added, and I'm questioning whether it even should be noted. I'll let wiser minds decide – I only knew I had to remove the "it should be noted" as well as the slightly awkward text that followed (not that mine's necessarily better). I'm still unsure when unsourced, real-world bginfo is appropriate. Cepstrum (talk) 14:35, February 4, 2011 (UTC)

Unless there is a citation showing that it is indeed where the name came from, I believe it would get removed under MA policy. Though it is a nice little piece of background info IMO. --TrekFan Open a channel 15:18, February 4, 2011 (UTC)
