I don't think this is a valid planet name. The only reference to "Takar" in the episode is in the "Song of the Sages":

"...they lifted Takar's blinding hood..."

If anything that implies the planet is called Takar (assuming Takar isn't a nation-state or a city or something), not "Takar II", which I think came from the fact that it was identified as the second planet in the system. -- EtaPiscium 23:12, 6 Jan 2005 (CET)

The only important source that has that information seems to be, and I think this might be the primary source. There is a possibly Takar II was mentioned in behind-the-scenes material, but the paper Encyclopedia has no references to a Takar II. -- Harry 23:20, 6 Jan 2005 (CET)
It was also stated: "Well, you're obviously new in Takar." This would indicate a city, or perhaps region as stated. I think what throws us off is how the people refer to themselves as Takarians, which would be a regional name, like the "Ressikans," rather than a species name, such as the case of the Takarans. --Alan del Beccio 01:57, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
