- Perhaps if the person who added the merge template – namely, bp – were to give us his reasoning for wanting this merged, we could actually start the discussion? :D Right now, I'm against merging this, since symbiosis describes the process, while this page describes living entities. -- From Andoria with Love 05:17, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

- "Symbiotic lifeform" and "Symbiosis" are indeed separate things, but at this point both articles are basically just a brief description followed by examples, and I don't see what more could be said in the context of Trek. So why not merge both lists, for the sake of convenience if somebody wants information on this topic? Vox Sola lifeform[]
Does the planet the lifeform in Vox Sola (ENT Season 1 Ep. 22) have a wiki page yet? If not, I think it is worthy to at least have a short page describing it as well as a couple complimentary screen shots (reduced in size). -- Ad infinitum et ultra! (talk) 01:20, November 20, 2015 (UTC)

Merge II[]
Surveying the usual online sources (that is, scripts available at .st-minutiae, and transcripts at chakoteya), it doesn't seem like the specific term "symbiotic lifeform" was ever mentioned. This is just a list of lifeforms that are symbiotic, (something symbiosis also has) + until I very recently moved it to a more appropriate location and a bg section on the vox sola creature, for which the term "symbiotic lifeform" was also apparently never used. -- Capricorn (talk) 04:54, April 20, 2016 (UTC)
