The Veridian shockwave contains an abnormality, in that it reached the planet in seconds, not the minutes it should have taken if the shockwave was restricted to light-speed. Since subspace shocks are known to travel faster than-light, and are known to be produced from massive detonations with high power materials invovled (Praxis and dilithium, Veridian and trilithium), it makes sense the shock belongs under this category. -- Captain Mike K. But, the Veridian shockwave didn't behave anything like the Praxis shockwave. It destroyed everything in its path, while the other one just damaged it. Also, the Enterprise jumped to Warp 1 at Amargosa to escape the shockwave, which clearly establishes that it was not travelling faster than the speed of light. It is possible that the shockwave at Veridian reached the planet in a longer time than what was shown. -- EtaPiscium 00:51, 4 Dec 2004 (CET)
Then perhaps this category should be changed to simply shock wave and then that would cover both types, yes? Gvsualan 08:50, 4 Dec 2004 (CET)
