- Interspace is referenced in "Turnabout Intruder" when Kirk says: "Spock, when I was caught in the interspace of the Tholian Sector, you risked your life and the Enterprise to get me back." This is a reference to the interphase featured in the episode. I guess they got the terms mixed up and now both apply to the same phenomenon.
