Does anyone know what type of device is being used by Hoshi and T'Pol in Act 1 of 'ENT: Rogue Planet'?

What about the device used by Archer in "ENT: Borderland" when he is searching for his missing crewmates on Verex III?

Although presumably less sophisticated than 23rd century Tricorders I'm sure, these handheld devices are being used for similar applications.

/* 2260s */ removed inaccurate "City on the Edge of Forever" information Edit

Removed the following:

A highly adaptable device, the Starfleet tricorder could be configured to operate with technology such as a mnemonic memory circuit and allow retrieval of temporal information. (TOS: "The City on the Edge of Forever")

From the dialogue in the episode, it's clear that Spock's circuit was not allowing the tricorder to directly access "temporal information", but rather to slow down the playback rate of information he had recorded from the Guardian earlier. Capt Christopher Donovan 17:55, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

23rd century Edit

Should it include the tricorder from "Trials and Tribble-ations" that Sisko used to beam away the Tibble, or not since it was a 24th century recreation?
