Double article Edit

We already have Officer's lounge. Tom 20:41, November 3, 2011 (UTC)

IMO, the info should be moved off that page then, as it's incorrect; the script describes the area as the Starfleet Officer's Lounge not just a generic "officer's lounge". It's like saying info about Quark's Bar, Grill, Gaming House and Holosuite Arcade, or even Ten Forward, should be at bar. The Starfleet Officer's Lounge is a place of considerable importance and I firmly believe it should stay as a separate article, which will also help with linking to the page. --Defiant 21:03, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
Canon trumps the script. Quark's (as well as the full name) was given in canon, as well as Ten Forward. If it was called "Starfleet Officer's Lounge" in canon, then fine, but I'm not seeing evidence of that. --31dot 21:37, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
I might feel differently if we knew specifically where this was, but this article only says it is "on or near Earth".--31dot 21:42, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
There's a guideline that allows for naming articles that were unnamed on screen to be named from the scripts. I didn't know you were unaware of that, 31dot. We also have Category:Unused production material, which includes things not seen on screen but only referred to in scripts. I think this lounge, which was not only referred to in the script but also shown on screen (in one of the big-budget, frequently exhibited feature films, no less), should definitely "trump" those. Don't you?! --Defiant 21:51, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
I am certainly "aware" of that. As I said, I might feel differently if we knew where this was, in which case the script or something else could be used to clarify that, but all we know is that it is an officer's lounge that belongs to Starfleet. That could be said for the other lounges on the officer's lounge page.--31dot 22:00, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
If you truly want this place to have its own article, then I would suggest "Earth Officer's Lounge", if the Lounge is on or near Earth.--31dot 22:02, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
I'd be happy with that. --Defiant 22:06, November 3, 2011 (UTC)
