"the first academy marathon took place in 2283"
- This datation is pure speculation (a marathon taking place every year). Considering a marathon every 4 years is more credible because the first would have taken place in 2159 (2323 - 41*4) => but obviously rather in 2161 with the creation of the Academy. To explain the 2 years missing, there may have been a marathon in 2161 and in 2163 then every 4 years. - From Cardassia with pain 17:50, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- Why couldn't the marathon have been an annual event? The Boston Marathon, The NYC Marathon, and many others are all annual events. Since the one in question is sponsored by the Academy wouldn't they want the cadets to run it every year? Unless there is something to suggest that it wasn't annual I don't see why it can't be described as such. Just a thought. 31dot 19:28, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- The marathon could happen every year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years (like the Olympic Games), 6 months, 3 weeks, 15 days... There could also be period without marathon in time of war for exemple. So the only information we know is that the forty first marathon occured in 2323. - From Cardassia with pain 20:08, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
