I removed the following:
- The premise of this episode has both practical and physical flaws: Practically, if the behavior of the wave was sufficiently unpredictable so as to require the Enterprise to supervise, what prudent scientist would select a colony world for the destination and not an uninhabited asteroid or space station? Physically, the launch planet is moving relative to the destination planet (due to both stellar motion and planetary orbital motion at each end), so there would be only a very narrow launch window wherein the unguided soliton wave would arrive at the destination planet. When the wave sped up, it promised to arrive early, and thus would be likely to miss the destination planet and be no threat at all.
If anything, this belongs in the article for "New Ground", since that's the episode in question. However, it can't go in there, either, as nitpicks are not allowed as per a discussion in Ten Forward. We are not here to criticize writing, we're here to write an encyclopedia. --From Andoria with Love 17:14, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
