we never actually see the Servo stun a person. It was used in a less then lethal way twice, once on the Enterprise security guard and again on a base sergeant. Each time neither person faints, they just stand there, and follow any suggestion Gary Seven gives. So it more creates a state of suggestion. I also wonder if by kill Gary Seven means it is on the same setting that he used to destroy the telephone wire, which he did only moment before. I also do not remember it being used to communicate with the Beta 5. here are my notes: http://supernovawd(dot)netfirms(dot)com/worlds/Unknown1000/technology.htm --TOSrules 05:52, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Even though i am busy with this vandal i will answer these since AJ or you can handle it. I will address each issue. First off stun has a wide variety of meanings in the case "stun" puts the character in a sleep liek suggestive state as noted already. There is no basis saying that stun must do want all star fleet weapons do. Yes the kill setting is what he left it on after th phone wire exploded i don't get how that is wrong in the article. And the communication is implied but is used by the beta 5 for locating him as part of the transporter function-- Kahless 05:59, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC) Back to Vandal

I just don't think the article fully explains the functions of the servo. True it is a form of stunning but that fails to explore the fact that the effect is more then just a stun. It is more of a state of hypnotic suggestion, the article simply does not convey this. --TOSrules 06:13, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

it specifically states that"with a stun setting, which made its victims go into a sleep-like state". Isn't that exactly what you are saying? -- Kahless 06:15, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

No, I said that it puts a person in a hypnotic state open for suggestion. The servo itself never puts a person to sleep, they only go to sleep because Gary Seven told the person to go to sleep. --TOSrules 06:21, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Is that better, and i thank you for mentioning it on this page first--Kahless 06:24, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)

yah, that's better. I brought it up here because I know you were working on these articles. They are sort of your babies right now. I did a minor grammar change, makes it flow better. But can you tell me when it actually was used to communicate with Beta 5 or cause Gary to be beamed back? --TOSrules 06:27, 28 Jul 2005 (UTC)
