Star Trek V citation Edit

Alan, if we can't cite our own article pages as references, what can we cite? The dates came off the article pages. If they're wrong, then put a citation notice on the source page. As far as the POV is concerned, you're right, and I'm open to suggestion as to how best to reword the sentence. -- Renegade54 19:32, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

But that is exactly my point, we are not citing our own article pages, we are adding references that don't actually contain legitimate citations. Nowhere was this month stated in ST5. As best I can tell is purely an assumption based on the first portion of this talk page. While I am just as dubious about TWoK reference, if ENT established Kirk's birthday as March 22, and his birthday occurs in TWoK, then obviously I can see the connection making the movie occur on that date, but again, going back to my original point, the movie itself is not citing that date, ENT is. --Alan del Beccio 19:46, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm all for removing the date reference, then, if it can't be established firmly in canon. If there's no basis for TFF date, then we should remove it from TFF article and anywhere else it might crop up (like here). As far as the TWoK, I think that if the date listed there didn't come from the movie itself, it should have a separate citation on it, because the assumption of almost anyone who would read that article would be that information stated there came from the movie itself, just like in an episode summary. So, if that date came from ENT, there should be some sort of citation to the ENT episode, both on TWoK article and any other page that might reference that date. -- Renegade54 20:10, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

And the conversation has just come full circle. --Alan del Beccio 20:12, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

I removed:

This has been uncited for some time. --Alan 06:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
