The Captain of the Saratoga mentions that they're patrolling sector 5, neutral zone which may or may not have been the Klingon border. It could very well have been the Romulan border but with the low number of the sector, it is reasonable to assume it was as close to the Terran Sector as the Klingon Empire was. - It would seem the evidence supporting that they were patrolling near Klingon space was the line: "The probe is headed directly toward us. Its signal is damaging everything in its path. Klingons have lost two vessels. Two starships and three smaller vessels have been neutralized." If it is heading "directly" for Earth, from somewhere, and along the way encountered Klingons, then it would not be unreasonable to deduce that it passed through Klingon space on its direct course towards Earth, where it encountered the Saratoga, which was on patrol of the Neutral Zone along Klingon space. --Alan 05:16, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent points. Were the Romulans and Klingons friends at that point? Still, since they didn't specify and since it wasn't mentioned on screen, I think we can omit the Klingon from neutral zone which, I think the purists here would like. --Babaganoosh 06:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
