Sol sector[]
How do we know all those other systems are in the Sol Sector too? There's the assumption of 20*20 ly sectors, but it is not particularly consistent. So I think this info falls into the non-canon realm... -- Harry 13:25, 23 Dec 2003 (PST)

Sector 001 vs Sector 01[]
When the article says there's a transwarp network in sector 001, it's not refering to the part labeled sector 01 is it? because if it is, given that that sector seems to lie 95% in Klingon Space, I'm not sure we should just be assuming those two are the same (again). -- Capricorn (talk) 21:12, September 20, 2013 (UTC)
- I wrote that paragraph. Since I wrote that paragraph, I have arrived at the conclusion that I don't know what those lines might represent. Are they trade lines, trans warp network lines, or a combination of the two? Second, the map is not of a 2-D space, it is of a 3-D space. We have this sector at Level 3-B. One of the senses for level is "position along a vertical axis". [1] So, it's probable and plausible that this sector is either above or below space occupied by the Klingon Empire.Throwback (talk) 01:15, September 21, 2013 (UTC)

I'd say that information doesn't have to be removed overal; you could still for example make an article on Sector 01 and add a note there that it may or may not be the same. Smart to notice about the level thing though; I hadn't even thought of that possibility. - Another factor to consider. I know of two ways that sectors 1 to 99 are written. They can be written as a two-digit number or as a three-digit number. For example, Sector 34 can be either Sector 34 or Sector 034.Throwback (talk) 03:57, September 21, 2013 (UTC)

This sector might be located in both the Alpha and Beta quadrants, based on the real world location of 40 Eridani.

Cut Sentences[]
Sol, the primary of the Sol system, was at the border of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants; however, this star was identified as an Alpha Quadrant star. This seemed to indicate that the border to the Beta Quadrant was at minimum 5 billion miles away from Sol, but at maximum it was 10 Light years away depending on where Sol and its Solar system is located in sector 001.
I removed the reference to both the map from Star Trek: Insurrection and the seventh season of Voyager as they do not specifically name the Sol Sector or Sector 001. In the former, there is a caption which reads, "Sol System - Federation Starfleet HQ". I mention this in the History section. In the latter, the end terminus of the trajectory taken by Voyager through the galaxy reads as "UFP".
Two reasons for removal of sentences: 1. These lines have more relevance for the Sol system and/or Sol. 2. The map from Star Trek: Into Darkness would indicate considerable distance between the Alpha and Beta Quadrant border and Sector 001.--Memphis77 (talk) 13:58, February 26, 2016 (UTC)
