Doing a search for "Sato" yields this page. It would seem that it should either lead to Hoshi Sato... or barring that, at least a disambiguation page. Its a minor point... but I think its logical.Hossrex 09:40, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Does no one have an interest in this matter, or is it impossible to fix, because the search engine will always yield the result of Hoshi's dads page when you search for Sato, because thats his name? Is it possible to create a disambiguation page called "Sato", and alter the name of his page to "Mr. Sato"? I still say it sits weird to search for Sato, and not find Hoshi. It'd be like searching for Kirk, and getting his dad. WTF?Hossrex 21:27, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, since we don't name people with their title, the only other naming option would be something like "Sato (Hoshi's father)". And that name sucks. I'm not totally convinced that there's any good workaround for this. -- Sulfur 21:44, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
- I wasn't willing to do any alterations before, and I'm not now. So rest assured, I'm just making suggestions. My opinion is, that whatever "suck"y name we have to give that page, it'd make more sense then having a search for "Sato" (a natural, potential search entry for Hoshi) take us to someone besides the Enterprise' comm officer. You may not have ever searched for "Sato"... thats fine. I did, and the result didn't make any sense. A user simply shouldn't have to click through two pages to find Hoshi, when she is searched by her surname.Hossrex 09:17, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
