I removed the following line from the end of the background note:

It may be noted that this may indicate one of two things, noting the play. The doctor might not exist, or the doctor may have killed himself.

I'm not sure that we can draw that conclusion - it amounts to speculation on a note that itself is speculation. Godot in Beckett's play never arrives, but there is no reason provided, or even speculated on, for his absence. -- Renegade54 12:03, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
