In addition to above, the name "SS Birdseye" was never mentioned on screen and is derived from the Star Trek Encyclopedia, which specifically states: "Close examination of the model might reveal the letters "S.S. Birdseye" inscribed in the hull." -Alan del Beccio 23:31, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
- If the name wasn't seen onscreen, then I would support merging the page with cryonics satellite (may comment above if that happens). I was scared I was the first one to link to the SS Birdseye with my September 25, 2005 edit, however, it turns out someone beat me with an August 7, 2005 edit.--Tim Thomason 23:44, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

- If there are two production sources giving it a name, why don't we use it? This is certainly a stronger case than all those Star Trek: The Motion Picture/Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home alien names which we use. Kennelly (talk) 13:47, August 17, 2016 (UTC)
