Survival of the Fittest Edit

While Darwin did not coin the phrase "survival of the fittest", he did use it in later editions of "On the Origin of Species" as a synonym for his term, "natural selection". His use of the term without derogation would seem to contradict the notion that he did not approve of the phrase. This is from Wikipedia:Survival of the fittest. — Wfaulk 22:07, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Were there other Earthmen, unknown to the gladiatorial audience? Or was Merik speaking ironically, considering himself to be the only one "able to adapt"?

Seems awkwardly written, like speculation. --LauraCC (talk) 20:27, November 21, 2016 (UTC)
