Roy Orbison ImageEdit

an argument for keeping the image:

Jerry Goldsmith's image is on the page of the same name yet he was never shown in any episode. - Babaganoosh 18:30, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

different situation. one is in real world perspective, the other is in universe.
As stated above, Jerry Goldsmith is a production-pov article. Roy Orbison is told from an in-universe pov. See the content policy for more. Also, since this relates to the image's pending deletion rather than the article, this should have been posed at the images for deletion page. --From Andoria with Love 18:38, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Actually, having looked around a bit, a more suitable page for you to check out would be point of view. Also, for future reference, you can distinguish a production pov page by the real world template located in the top right corner of the page. As you can see, Goldsmith has such a template, while Orbison does not. This means that Orbison is written from an in-universe point of view and images on that page should only be in-universe. Hope that helps. --From Andoria with Love 19:05, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Should the article exist?Edit

Was Roy Orbison referred to by name or his name visible in the movie (I don't recall so at the moment)? If not, I think this page needs to be deleted like we did with C.S. Forrester, so we just keep the article on Ooby Dooby. Kennelly 20:19, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

It was on the Star Trek: First Contact (soundtrack). --Alan del Beccio 20:22, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Don't jump on me, but if he wasn't mentioned/seen/legible in-universe, I don't think this should be an in-universe article with cats and so on. It should be on the same level as Jerry Goldsmith for contributing to the movie soundtrack. Kennelly 20:29, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

  • We need this discussion on one page, me thinks. See talk:Steppenwolf. --20:31, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
