Speculation Edit

Rodinium was known well after the discovery and use of Duranium (a primary component in Federation starship construction through to the 24th century). It was also known well after Neutronium, suggesting that Spock's comments were entirely concerning current Federation metallurgical capabilities (since Neutronium manipulation/creation remains a mystery to the Federation in the 24th century).

I've removed the above note, which speculates on when the material was first discovered and the extent of the Federation's ability to heat and shape metals based on Spock's comment from "Balance of Terror". The key word here is "speculation." --From Andoria with Love 05:30, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Cast-Rodinium Edit

In the TNG book-Vendetta, the planet killer M-2 had armor made of cast-Rodinium underneath its Neutonium armor, and one of the officers stated it would be pointless to fire their phasers and torpedoes at the hole in the planet killers armor that the Borg had carved. So im not sure how a Romulan PT could go through it if a M/A explosion (Photon torpedo) would be useless. Although the PT could be so hot that it melted the CR. But the torpedo was red was it not? Red stars are very cool, comparatively. The plasma torpedo should have been blue. Or mabey the planet killers CR armor was alot better then Federation CR armor, which is more then likely. If not, then its probably just Star Trek inconsistency. I love Star Trek, but there are way to many contradictions and inconsistencies. Why is the wiki putting my posts in these line things?--Gormagon 20:21, July 29, 2011 (UTC)

...because you placed a space before your comment. Don't do that. - Archduk3 20:55, July 29, 2011 (UTC)
