Richard Taylor was the art-director for Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Are we sure of this? I don't see his name listed anywhere in the credits for the movie on IMDb, nor do I find him listed in IMDb for anything else. Is there a source for this? -- Renegade54 22:21, 9 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm bumping this to see if I can get a reply. Does anybody have an answer to this? Shran? Tom? -- Renegade54 15:18, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Richard Taylor worked for Abel and Associates, an early CGI firm. Through them, he was responsible for the wormhole scene in TMP, and some other CGI stuff. I don't know about 'art director' per se, but he was defs involved. Here's his bio from his website [1] --- Jaz 18:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
As Jaz says, Taylor led the Abel team on the art production for the film. I'm not sure whether he was appropriately credited as "art director" but that seems to sum up his involvement pretty accurately. Might I refer to an interview with Taylor at my own site, which provides a pretty elaborate treatment of Taylor's precise involvement. Ottens 21:00, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
