This article is walking a fine line between which universe perspective it should be placed in. If it was "real world" as the template indicates, it should say something more like, "the type of knife Tom Hardy...". As a "real world" article I'm not sure I see a need for it, if it is an "in universe" article, it should be treated as such. Otherwise we might start seeing articles about salt shakers to describe the hand scanners McCoy used in TOS. -Alan del Beccio 01:10, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- I see what you mean. I only called it 'real world' because they never actually name the type of dagger in the film, while in the 'real world' I know that its name is the Jackal knife. Should I assume that in-universe it is also called the Jackal knife? If so I'll delete the 'real world' perspective.Jayunderscorezero 03:28, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- You have to remember that this is set in the future so I dont see any reason why the Real current day name would not apply to it? -- Awar 04:30, 9 April 2007 (UTC).
Well, here is the thing, "Jackal knife", and the recently added "Double Shadow" were the names given to it by the creator of the knives. I'm not even sure the production staff picked up on the names, since "Reman knife" was all that appeared in the script. Either way, I merged them the same way we handled the Klingon blade weapons page, as a list for all those unnamed canon designs. --Alan 02:59, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
