I guess this is going to be controversial, but I think the name of the movement is enough to imply a connection to Proto-Vulcan Humanoids rather than Vulcans. Clash on the Fire Plains suggests a link to the planet Vulcan, but we don't know exactly what proto-vulcan humanoids are, they might very well be just the ancestors of modern Vulcans (as the name implies), thus mainly native to ancient Vulcan. In that case the Mintakans would most likely just being transplaned from Vulcan by the preservers any of the apparently gazillion other species that are into displacing stuff. - I don't think it's a "movement" at all. I think it refers to the people creating the art, not the art itself. I think it's a broad term like Dutch, rather than a specific movement, like the Hague School. Sure there may be some common points of reference in Dutch art, such that one could be shown a painting and guess the country of origin, but a movement suggests a school, common adherents, and something a little more time-specific than the vague "proto-Vulcan" moniker. tt's like saying "Mayan art". Records are far too incomplete to determine schools and movements, but you can see something and still identify it as falling within known parameters used by Mayans. - Oppose. It is fine and dandy for people here to have these personal beliefs, but canon doesn't say one way or the other whether it is a movement or simply the people who did it. I'd rather keep them separate. --OuroborosCobra talk 16:09, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
