Shatner?Edit

William Shatner, in his book Star Trek Movie Memories, referred to Persis Khambatta as a "stunningly bad actress." However, I had heard from someplace that Shatner, who was on his second wife when ST-TMP was being filmed, made a move on Ms. Khambatta, and she turned him down. So, his "bad actress" statement may have been sour grapes. (Maybe that's why Marcy Lafferty took a role in the film - to keep an eye on her husband.) - Adambomb1701 17:39, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

BirthEdit

i did the math myself to get the 47 age for her passing, but AP news bulletins said she was 49. wierd. whats our source on her birthdate? -- Captain M.K.B. 19:56, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

It's from IMDb, which is frequently incorrect. -- Jaz talk 21:02, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia has her birth year as 1948, not 1950, & her age at death as 49. These changes should be made.

What source is offered for it? --31dot 08:10, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

This is probably from the same AP news bulletin I read in my 2006 post. Of course, before Wikipedia and IMDb, actresses used to be able to say they were whatever age they believed would get them a job, and if any of those dates filtered down through magazines and quotes over the years, we'd be misinformed. -- Captain MKB 13:27, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

If we can't get a definite answer we may need to do what we did at Chase Masterson and drop the year.--31dot 10:48, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
She went to school with my late Mother and was in the same year. She was born in 1948. I also heard the Shatner rebuff story, which would explain his cheap and spiteful remark. and yes indeed, his wife taking a role! The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.151.52.105 (talk).
I think that's considered original research, which isnt allowed. Well at least not on Wikipedia. But let's see what others say. – Distantlycharmed 03:51, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
It's not allowed here either. --OuroborosCobra talk 04:01, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
