Context of the page?Edit

This should be specifically about the host for Odan in the episode "The Host". But we don't know his name so we'd have to come up with a convention for the unammed host because there were at least two, this one and the one prior.Logan 5 22:29, 2 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Secrets revealed?Edit

"However, the extremely public and open display of such a surprising secret soon made the joined society of Trill common knowledge." Was that stated in any episode, or is it just guesswork? I think this may be a rather broad assumption to be here. Hossrex 10:47, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I didn't get any response to this question... which is understandable, considering its a relatively minor section, but I am considering changing the article. It is my recollection of the episode "The Host", that no statement was made regarding this situation making the Trill "common knowledge". I will wait another week or so before I change this... and certainly wont argue if it finds itself changed back... but I genuinely feel this is a matter of guesswork, and not a canonical statement. Opinions?

The "Upside-down A" ridge Edit

Why does this Trill have a ridge, shaped like an upside-down "A," while Jadzia Dax doesn't? Whereas other species' races differentiate by skin color, the Trill's differentiate by whether they have ridges or spots, do they? --K. Shinohara 14:41, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Makeup differences. In non-canon stuff, the DS9 book about Trills deals with these differences and explains them. Forged in Fire also explains some of the differences, as you can see mentioned on Trill in the Apocrypha/BG sections. Some quick investigation would have showed you this. -- Sulfur 14:53, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Because the TNG Trill makeup looked bad on Terry Farrell. :P --Golden Monkey 21:45, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes, the explanation I've heard was that Farrell was too pretty to cover so much of her face with fake ridges, so they went wtih the spots, and even these are deemphasized as the show went on.

Hosts Edit

How about one of these on this page? Igotbit 01:45, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
