The primary hull of this vessel reminds me of the front of the DY series of ships; looks like the front of the SS Botany Bay with nacelles. Has anyone ever done a CG rendering of this ship? It would be interesting to see. -- StAkAr Karnak 18:27, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

TOS remastered did, see Antares-type.--Alan del Beccio 05:23, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Double numberEdit

While clearly the animation for the second ship is just smaller version of the first, is there a point in the episode where both numbers are clearly readable? I'm not suggesting that they are different in the real world, just that if it's never readable in the episode, we should state that in a bg note. - Archduk3 16:43, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

Yes. Both registries are clearly readable in the episode. At 7 minutes into the episode, Klingons fire torpedoes at the first grain ship destroying its nacelles. Registry is seen in this scene. We see the Klingons attacking the second ship at about 14 minutes into the episode (in a new animated sequence, not reused footage from the first attack) destroying its nacelles. And we see the registry in this scene. Considering how easy it is to modify a drawing in this type of animation, I seems to me they are intended to be drone ships with the same registry number. And as there is no precedence of NCC-G drone ship registries in startrek before or after this episode, i see no reason to consider this an inconsistency. --Pseudohuman 19:44, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

I thought I would check now, since we are using this as precedent for the Defiant situation, and any consensus there will likely apply here. Also, I added a note about this at Federation starship registries. - Archduk3 20:57, July 26, 2010 (UTC)
