Summary? Edit

This seems to me a summary of the episode, more than an article. Perhaps we should reform it a bit. I'll move this text to the episode summary of "Home Soil". -- Redge 13:24, 6 Aug 2004 (CEST)

I wouldn't, if I were you. It doesn't read like an episode summary, to be honest. Certainly, it is very verbose, and needs a cleanup with regards to tenses, etc., but it wouldn't make a good episode summary for "Home Soil". -- Michael Warren | Talk 15:16, Aug 6, 2004 (CEST)

To late. I suggest we just leave it as a summary untill we can get a better version. -- Redge 15:29, 6 Aug 2004 (CEST)

Well What I would like to see is more of a description of just what the microbrains are. Does anyone know if they appear in any novels? The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).

I'm not convinced Q's nickname for Worf belongs here. He's saying Worf has a tiny brain, not calling him one of these creatures.--LauraCC (talk) 20:51, June 17, 2016 (UTC)

He first called him that in episode 10; Home Soil is episode 18. (I know, I know, Q is supposedly all-seeing, but still...) --LauraCC (talk) 17:09, September 10, 2016 (UTC)

Re-write Edit

I've re-oriented the content of this article to be about the lifeforms themselves, and less detail more relevant for the episode.

The details about the lifeforms' composition were taken from the episode page, since it's more relevant here.

Also added:

  • note about light bolts being ions and used for programmatic communication
  • where they lived (saline water table)
  • cadmium salts
