Who died first? Edit

Wasn't Kelso the first person killed in Star Trek in Were no man has gone before -- Marcos dax 00:50, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Production-wise, yes, Kelso was the first. However, "The Man Trap" aired before "Where No Man Has Gone Before", so Darnell was the first Trek character who we saw die. -- From Andoria with Love 02:25, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

First Contact Edit

An anon has twice removed the information that Zaslow appeared in Star Trek: First Contact without explanation, as well as the picture from that film. I'm guessing they either think it is someone else or have other evidence that it is not him, but has not provided an explanation. What is the evidence that it is him? -- 31dot 11:10, November 10, 2010 (UTC)

Michael Zaslow is not the person featured in the still photo taken from ST: First Contact. Zaslow had been living with advanced Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) disease and wheelchair-bound by the film's release. Michael Zaslow died December 6, 1998. Since it looks like him, I'm guessing it was not just made up and there is some evidence as to why it is him, though I don't know what that is. -- 31dot 09:56, November 28, 2010 (UTC)

Six years later I removed the reference that Zaslow played Eddy in "First Contact". The same actor who played Eddy also appeared as a background actor in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "His Way". Comparing images of Zaslow from 1997/1998 with the two stills from the Trek productions clearly illustrate that this actor is not Zaslow. There is also no official source ever mentioned Zaslow appearing in "First Contact". I've also talked to at least three regular background performers/stand-ins who worked on the days of filming of "First Contact" and no one remembered having a TOS actor in these scenes. The reason listed in the anon comments above is actually no reason. "First Contact" was filmed in late April 1996 and Zastrow was still working as an actor at this time. But the DS9 episode was filmed in February 1998, at this time he suffered from the disease. Here is an image of Zastrow from 1998, showing a different nose form. And he looks completely different than in "First Contact". Tom (talk) 14:43, March 6, 2016 (UTC)
