Merge suggestion Edit

Both this and Memorial service are the same thing. Agreed? --LauraCC (talk) 14:59, September 4, 2015 (UTC)

I'd suggest that this one (Memorial) should be the monuments, while "Memorial service" should continue to be the service itself. -- sulfur (talk) 15:23, September 4, 2015 (UTC)
Currently this page has just one reference on a memorial monument, which is also covered together with other memorial type monuments at monument. In light of that, I don't think we need a page on memorials as in memorial monuments in addition to the page on monuments. As for the proposed merge, I would suggest merging memorial service into memorial rather then the reverse. The term "service" implies a specific subtype of memorial, a pre-planed and structured event. Memorials in general can also be more informal, and in fact some examples were hardly worth the term service. -- Capricorn (talk) 23:23, September 4, 2015 (UTC)
I am voting to keep this page as a seperate page. A memorial is a more religious or sacred place than a monument. Memorial service now covers all the related info about the service. Tom (talk) 18:32, September 20, 2015 (UTC)

Okay, I'll go with that. Partial merge is fine. --LauraCC (talk) 18:34, September 20, 2015 (UTC)
