Where does the first name come from? Wasn't he only referred to as "Franklin" in the episode? -Angry Future Romulan 14:52, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
- It's definitely in the script in the sequence right after they've saved Scotty and they discover that Franklin's pattern has degraded. Not sure about the episode offhand, as I've not seen it for a while. -- sulfur (talk) 15:36, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
Okay, you're right. I'm sure that it wasn't actually said in the episode, but I just took a look, and there is a line where Scotty refers to him as "Matt Franklin." Mystery solved. -Angry Future Romulan 15:41, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
Done and done. -Angry Future Romulan 20:13, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
Actually, I just rewatched the episode, and I can't tell if Scotty says "Aye, lad, Franklin!" or "Aye, Matt Franklin!" I always thought it was the former, and closed captioning agrees with me, but DVD subtitles say "Matt." Of course, that doesn't mean anything, but I'm inclined now to think that he did say Matt, so I'm going to be modifying the bgnote. -Angry Future Romulan 23:17, September 8, 2012 (UTC)
