I don't see how "Lucifer's Chainsaw" which is mentioned as being published in the '50's could be any sort of homage to Lucifer's Hammer, which was published in the '70's.'s_Hammer

"Lucifer's Chainsaw" was only fictionally published in 1952. The name was made up in 1998 for the Star Trek episode, and from a production perspective was a homage to "Lucifer's Hammer". That is why that section is in italics, it designates it as background information rather than in-universe. --OuroborosCobra talk 23:50, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
