Would the study of lifeforms, which is to say life, be Biology, of which xenobiology, exobiology and xenology are subcatagories? Tyrant 00:33, 25 Jan 2005 (CET)Tyrant

We need a way of working our taxonomy, so we can list types here without listing every lifeform on trek. We have things like plant, fungus, virus, arachnid, avian and insect to work with. I am not looking for a repeat of Non-sentient lifeforms, i'm just not sure exactly how it should be broken up. I figure the end result should be something like the nice and clean "Body systems" linked list that Tyrant made of anatomy, however, we may have to settle for something like the "See" list at Medicine (not that that is bad it just doesn't look as organized). More needed. Edit

These should be added:

  • What all classes of planets were lifeforms found on?
  • What Voyager references really focus on The Doctor being a lifeform?
  • Text to clarify that The Doctor and related holograms fall into 'artificial' category
  • Text to address Changelings as part of definition.
