I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but the question is very important to me so I want to be absolutely certain I get it right. Am I correct that content from non-canonical works (specifically the Pocket novels) are never shown in Memory Alpha? The reason I ask is because I was included as a character in Last Full Measure, and I'd absolutely love to put myself somewhere...but I don't think it's allowed. Right? -Etoile 03:19, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Non-canon characters don't get their own page, but they can and should be listed on the non-canon work's page. (Is that book a time-travel piece or do you live to be 200?) 9er 03:35, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- Technically, if the novel's page had a full write up (as hopefully one day it will, see Articles of the Federation as an example, although it's incomplete) there should be a list of characters both canon and non, and a short description of them. But no, no individual pages unless also seen/mentioned on Canon trek. You were included in the book? How do you mean? - AJ Halliwell 03:39, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
I guess I should have said my name, which is somewhat unusual, was deliberately given to a character in the book. It was a thank-you gift from Andy Mangels for some community service I performed in early 2005. And I'm glad to hear there might actually be some place for "my" character on Memory Alpha - I'll have to give the book a detailed writeup! Thanks for the tips! -Etoile 05:52, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks to a tuckerism from author Andy Mangels, I was named in this book as one of the MACO corporals. -Etoile 22:23, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
