The "Order" designation may derive from the British honors system, or the Order of Merit awarded by the French Republic. The name "Karagite Order of Heroism" suggests the "Karagite" people or government may have awarded Kirk with a knighthood (or something similar) for actions on their behalf.

Speculative. The information I provided in the article is based on the reading of order in the on-line dictionary that comes with Safari. The definition reads, "the insignia worn by members of an order of honor or merit."Throwback (talk) 08:58, August 1, 2014 (UTC)

KragiteEdit

The photo on the page uses the spelling of "Kragite" Order of Heroism. Is it spelled "Kragite" or "Karagite"?
