Name Edit

Per MA:RESOURCE, shouldn't this stay at "jakmanite", since that's what we heard(which takes precedence over what is seen)? 31dot (talk) 20:02, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

That "hierarchy of resources" list is primarily for conflict resolution, for example when there is a difference between what was said and what was seen. In this case, the left out "632" isn't a conflict per se, as there is a common sense solution; namely that the common, spoken name for things can drop "superfluous" parts of the full name. An encyclopedia, like MA, would tend to use the full name though. - Archduk3 20:34, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
That was my thinking with this substance and Selgninaem. The full names were Jakmanite 632 and Selginaem Sulfide Compound. I think that the latter, upon hindsight, would be written without the compound, as in Hydrogen sulfide.Throwback (talk) 20:43, May 28, 2013 (UTC)

OK; I've also moved Selgninaem to Selgninaem sulfide. 31dot (talk) 20:45, May 28, 2013 (UTC)
