There has been some discussion as to the necessity of individual history pages, such as Human history, Federation history, Interstellar history, and the like, specifically regarding species-specific ones like Q history, Romulan history, and so on.

Since some pages, such as Klingon history, could serve to tell some of the complex mythology covered in their many appearances, some other ones are woefully short, and are most often a central issue for deletion proceedings. How about borrowing some form from the timeline pages, by sorting individual "Star Trek Chronology" style entries. The Klingon history article would probably have a lot of mythos and talk of their storytelling and song, but the less verbose Ferengi history would simply read:

  • YEAR BC -- something founded
  • YEAR AD -- some event
  • 2151 AD -- ENT episode
  • 2355 AD -- Battle of Maxia

And so forth. This would also serve to help propogate the Timeline pages better. -- Captain Mike K. Bartel 17:58, 2 Jan 2005 (CET)

I like this suggestion - in the case of most "minor" history articles, such as Ferengi history, I'm sure that there's enough "recent history" to fill these lists with. -- Cid Highwind 19:48, 2005 Jan 2 (CET)
