Road !? Edit

Why not just state: Highway 101 was a major road running through California on Earth. During the 20th century It was known for being clogged with cars, trucks, and other traffic in the city of Los Angeles. I find the phrase "thoroughfare for vehicles" very cumbersome... when reading it it feels like it was deliberately intended to sound different than for instance the highway 1 article, but because of that lost its clear language. specially since the word thoroughfare is rarely ever used, unless of course this word was specifically used in star trek. -- OvBacon(Talk) 00:43, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

I put thoroughfare to distinguish it from a typical residential or city street(with much more stops and slower speeds).; however, I would not stop someone from changing it to road. Highway 1 is closer to a residential street than Highway 101(which I believe is a freeway in LA).--31dot 02:24, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
