This page could use just a little more updating, including what episode referenced Hawaii. Tholian2000 15:09, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

This page was previously deleted as there have been no canon references to this state. Technically it qualifies for an immediate delete due to being previously voted for deletion. --Alan del Beccio 15:11, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Ok, didn't know that. Sorry! :) Tholian2000 15:12, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

No problem. This is one of those "implied" references (Pearl Harbor, Honolulu) and is somewhat of a "gray area." However, during the vote, which can be found in the deletion archive (you click the "what links here" on the Hawaii article page to find a quick link to it), it was determined that we should not be included in our database. However, because we have other "implied" references within M/A (such as tidal locking) there may yet be a case for reverting the previous decision. Additionally, just for future reference, when creating a new article (stub or otherwise) be sure to alway include a cited source to it so as to certify its usage. Thanks. --Alan del Beccio 15:27, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

Alright, sounds good! Tholian2000 15:32, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I can't find any references to Hawaii in canon Trek, but it might be worth mentioning that Heidi Swedberg and Meg Wyllie were born there. Also, Michael Okuda grew up there, according to a biography. Zsingaya Talk 16:00, 26 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I removed this section of sentence for it implied that Hawaii ceased being a member of the United States after the 21st century. The status of Hawaii after this century has never been stated in the canon.
