Harkonian or Haakonian?Edit

Should this page be deleted? It's sounds to me like Abbadon says he bought Alice from a Haakonian trader, and the DVD's subtitles also say Haakonian. Where did this Harkonian come from? Is there a script reference anywhere to support this Harkonian name? If not, I think this should be deleted and the references changed appropriately. Foravalon 04:58, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

agreed. this should be proven or removed. The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).
I've just watched the episode and you guys are right. He definately says Haakonian.
It's been over a year, why hasn't this been changed yet.

Reply - check the script and that will help to determine what's said. — Morder 08:10, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Indeed, Haakonian is correct. --Alan 18:10, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
It appears that the Harkonian reference comes from the Star Charts book; Mandell places "Harkonia" near Abbadon's repository. His motivation is understandable; its ridiculous to think that a Haakonian would be in this region of space. The preceding unsigned comment was added by (talk).

Removed from page Edit

Background (was H2 header)

The Haakonians and the Haakonian Order are nods to the House Harkonnen from the successful science fiction novel series Dune, created by Frank Herbert. Both organizations are noted for being cruel and imperialistic with little regard for those they subjugate, with the Haakonians on Voyager based closely on the behavior of the Harkonnen soldiers of the Dune series. {{incite}}
